All programs have different eligibility requirements. The PG programme is open to graduates from any field as well as professionals working in the design space. Candidates must have successfully completed their undergraduate degrees from recognised institutions in any discipline and have a sound academic and extra-curricular record. Students with a 2 year diploma and one year of work experience may also apply. The student should have an interest in interior design and passion to build a successful career in this field. All short term courses have different criteria which you can check on the specific program pages.
JS Institute of Design has three admission cycles in the year and you can apply to one of these. If your application is rejected, you can apply again as part of the following year’s intake. When you do reapply, please ensure that you mention what has significantly changed since your last application.
The status of your application will be communicated to you as the process evolves, through email. As we follow a rolling admissions process, the earlier you apply for the PG program, the sooner your application will be reviewed.
Yes. You will have to make a deposit of Rs. 25,000 within a week of receiving communication about your acceptance onto the programme.
You can defer your admission after paying the security deposit and before paying your full fee. You can only defer once. After paying the full fee, you can withdraw back your application but will forfeit the entire fee and not provide any refund on the same.
JS Institute of Design offers a postgraduation in interior designing culminating into a postgraduate certificate. This is our flagship program in interior design.
JS Institute of Design is offering up to 100% scholarships for its founding batches. Send an email to [email protected] letting us know that you would like to be considered for a scholarship and a short note (maximum 300 words) with your statement of purpose. You would be evaluated in the final interview for the scholarship.
JS Institute of Design offers a furnished interior & building material resource centre. Students will also benefit from the actual practical experience of assembling and constructing interior elements such as plumbing, electrical looping, and texturing paints, in labs equipped with relevant wood and metal. JSID also has a cafeteria.
JS Institute of Design currently does not offer any hostel / boarding facilities.
You can visit the JS Institute of Design campus Monday through Friday between 10am and 5pm. It is located in the original and iconic Jagdish Studio in Lajpat Nagar III, New Delhi India. It is a 10-minute walk from Lajpat Nagar Metro Station.

Yes, JSID offers 100% placement assistance & support. The 6 month internship provides students with industry exposure that will help with final placements. The roles and salaries are comparable to other Interior architecture and design courses in India.
The commitment of being a JSID student is 18 months. The 18-month programme is divided into two parts — 12 months of studio practice, and a 6 months of internship in order to give students the most holistic education and professional development.

No, this is a full-time postgraduate programme. You will not be able to take on any paid employment through the duration of the programme. We do not encourage working even part-time while you are with us as your schedule will leave very little free time to pursue such opportunities.

There are varied lines you could pursue once you have completed your education at JS Institute of Design. You can function as an Interior Designer at par with an Interior Architect for residences, corporate offices, retail spaces, hospitality and institutions. You can also be associated with paint companies as colour consultants and stylists, as estimation experts, service systems experts and facade designers. The career prospects are very similar to pursuing any diploma in interior designing in Delhi.

In line with Covid, our application process has been relaxed to not require the registration or completion of the online application but rather a submission of documents and booking of interview slots. All our interviews have moved online.

The fee for the PG program is Rs. 1.50 lakhs. Once you have been accepted into the programme, we will send you a link to make an online deposit of Rs. 25,000 to secure your place. The remainder amount will be paid in installments and via cheque.
